Reading a Renault Part Number

Renault part numbers usually come in two styles. Older numbers are 10 digits starting with 77 or 82 (for example 8200xxxxxx). Newer numbers end in a letter, such as 161A0xxxxR. Some throttle bodies also carry the maker's own number from the label. Any of these can be matched to the product listing.

Renault Vans and Shared Models

Renault builds vans and engines with other makers, so a throttle body listed for one brand can fit another when the part number matches:

Renault Trafic shares its platform with the Vauxhall Vivaro and Nissan Primastar.
Renault Master shares its platform with the Vauxhall Movano and Nissan NV400.
Renault, Nissan and Dacia share many petrol and dCi diesel engines.
Some Mercedes-Benz models, such as the Citan, use Renault engines.

How to Choose

Confirm your Renault: model, year, engine size and petrol or diesel (dCi).
Match the part number on the label of your old throttle body to the product listing.
Count the pins in the plug. The new unit must fit your wiring.
