I was dubious about ordering an aftermarket intake for my old 09 CC but it needed replacing & I can't afford dealer prices so I took the plunge.
Ordered mid afternoon & arrived the next day perfectly packaged so no complaints there, I didn't need to deal with customer services so no comments to add for that but I'm happy with D2P.
Now, a couple of things I'd like to share if you're taking on this job yourself.
This is only relevant info if you have the older troublesome intake from the early TSI engine, so, firstly your original fuel rail won't fit, the mounting of the rail to the intake is completely different. My Dragon found one for me on the bay for £18.
Secondly, the fixing bolts for your original manifold also won't fit, they'll be about ten mm too long so before you start grab yourself 7 M6-60mm.
& Finally the flap solenoid mounting is different but I used cable ties to mount the original to the manifold & so far so good.
It's also worth noting that the injector seals should be replaced to avoid any nasty fuel leaks & potential fires! You have been warned 😁
So what's the results I hear your say?
Well, my car has 126k on the clock & idles better now than ever, hardly know it's running & my fuel economy is awesome & we all need a bit of that while we get robbed at the pumps. Throttle response is much improved & great changes just seem so much smoother, no hesitation in traffic & that automatic increase in rpm when reversing has gone.
I can't say anymore than that, I'm happy with the part & the service I personally had from D2P & I hope someone somewhere finds the info I added useful.
